PINK MATTER
COLORWORX BY SCHWARZKOPF

Don't come checking for me if its a highlight retouch that you want.
I only do loud, bold, bright color.
And I am always up for a challenge.
I came up on a new line of semi permanent hair colors by Schwarzkopf. I fucking LOOOOOOOOVE Schwarzkopf- not just for my clients but majorly for my own natural curls. So obviously, I had to try out these shades even though I had no idea what differentiated it from the Pravana's, Manic Panic's and Joico Color Intensity's.
Schwarzkopf's Igora Colorworx direct dyes noticeably only come in primary and secondary hues. This, in my opinion, makes the line incredibly more customizable than the others. You're basically given the perfect foundation to create chaos. I bought a green one for some extensions I was coloring and a pink one for an unassuming muse, Corinne. Corinne was a washed out peachy pink and coral dip dyed fashion assistant I met whilst working on Samantha Pleet's latest dreamy lookbook.

I did not lift Corinne's hair at all prior to my application. I layered it over her pre-bleached and pinked washed out color. I did add various amounts of conditioner to dilute the color in certain areas of her hair to create definition. Colorworx offers a white hue to do the exact same thing in what I imagine to be a more predictable fashion but I was in a rush and on a budget so I skipped that option. Plus, we had two main goals: not make the hair shockingly fuschia and to stay true to this shade for the sake of judging it later lol.
Still, look at the results. A very clear pink vibrant shade that will allegedly last up to 20 washes.
I'm into it.
